Reva J. Miller was undeniably one of the strongest women I’ve ever known. She was my grandmother. We had a relationship that I will thank God for every day. She was such an amazing example of a Godly woman. She was faithful, tenacious, and unshakable. Reva had such a beautiful soul and she never gave up on what she believed. So it seemed fitting that I carry her name onto a dream of mine that she would have loved.
Reva was a classy woman. She was always put together and ready to go. Some of my favorite memories of her are dressing up in her shoes and jewelry and pretending to be “Mimi”. I always loved how her bracelets jingled and she seemed so fancy! Ever since I was a little girl I had a dream of opening my own salon and spa. Cosmetology has been in my family ever since I can remember…I got my first perm at 2 years old by my aunt. I loved sitting in that chair and staring into that mirror. As the years went on I continued to pursue my salon dreams by working in salons and of course doing all of my friend’s hair for every dance and date that I could. So after getting my Bachelors degree in Business Management and Marketing, I moved to Chicago to pursue my dreams of Cosmetology. After 7 years of doing hair in Chicago, it was time to venture back home to Michigan and settle down. Seventeen years later, my dream is coming true and I’m so incredibly excited to share it with all of you.
